Your December rates are being decided in October
Most Bali hotels start thinking about Christmas and New Year rates in late November.
By then, a share of those nights is often already sold, at whatever rate was loaded months ago.
Three checks worth doing this week:
- Open your on-the-books report for 20 Dec – 5 Jan. Compare it with the same dates last year at the same point in time. Ahead, behind or flat? That one comparison tells you more than any forecast.
- Look at the rate those rooms sold at. If the peak nights sold at your standard high-season rate, the next rooms on those dates should not go at the same price.
- Check your minimum stay rules for the 30 and 31 Dec. A one-night booking on 31 Dec can block a longer, more valuable stay.
None of this needs a big project. It needs someone looking at future dates every day, not once a month.
That is the job we built Revbot for: it reads your PMS, rate shopper and channel manager data and adjusts rates daily within the rules you set.
